Walking shoes – cleaning, maintenance and upkeep

The purpose of breaking your walking shoes is to soften them so that they do not damage your feet. They should be flexible where your feet and ankles bend. The best way to do this is to follow them. The purpose of breaking your walking shoes is to take a short walk, so you won’t find a pair of bikinis and non-slip shoes in the middle of the desert. No hiking or hiking is required, but try to make sure it is. High heels may not actually break, but wearing them will harden your feet where the boots refuse to bend.

In any case, you need to wear your new climbing shoes for a short time. Wear them around the house, on your morning walk, at work and on the way (or at work, if you don’t want to walk much for work and dress codes are available). Wear them when climbing small hills. After the Jodhpur Boots are properly broken, they will feel comfortable when you walk. Then you are ready to take them to serious heights. You may have heard of other tough and exotic technologies for removing your new climbing boots from the weather or repelling them and wearing them when they dry or break. If this is a bad idea, so be it. Break them slowly, they will last longer.

Water protection for your running shoes

Most climbing shoes are not already water resistant when you buy them but you still have to save some extra water. Check the documentation that comes with the shoes or the manufacturer’s recommendation on their website.

Different materials require different types of water protection. Requires a water protection compound based on leather, whole grains or splits wax (exactly the same as shoe polish). Clothing, especially nylon blends, requires a silicone-based waterproof spray.

Since most hiking boots are made of a combination of leather and fabric, you will need to use both types of water protection. Be careful, because silicone sprays can damage the seams on leather shoes. The best way to do this is to apply wax-based waterproofing to leather panels and cells after applying a leather cover to silicone-based waterproof fabric panels.

If you have whole grain leather shoes, you can use a wax-based water protection spray or old-fashioned shoe polish. Polishing shoes on stitches works best because you can put it on extra thickness and sew on stitches and stitches.

Before you use them for the first time and after each major addition, clean your shoes thoroughly and treat them with water. Rarely worn shoes may need waterproof treatment at least once a year, but use your discretion. If you notice new dirt or scratches after the addition, reapply the water protection.

Cleaning and regular maintenance of your running shoes

Clean dirt and dust from your shoes after climbing every day. Inspect your shoes and remove excess dust every time you take a long break while climbing. To clean your shoes while hiking or camping, kick on a rock, kick your shoes together, or scrape with a stick if necessary.

If you let the mud dry on your boots, they will both leak waterproof and soak into the boot. It slowly destroys the skin and is not good for nylon. Wipe your shoes with a damp cloth when you get home, or at least once every few days when you go to the stretcher. Be sure to remove all foreign substances, so there is no need to interfere with water protection chemicals so you can check for damage.

If sewing is closing, cut the hanging thread. If the hanging thread catches something, the stitches will move back and forth faster. Depending on the extent of the damage and the cost of the shoes, they may need to be brought to a cobbler for repair or additional shoe polish may be applied to protect loose ends and seams from water. If your shoes are soaked, dry them slowly. Due to the rapid drying, the leather parts will shrink and stretch the fabric parts and the rubber bottom. Wrap wet shoes in newspaper and change the newspaper every few hours until the shoes are dry.
