SUV models are the latest car models that are right now in fierce competition with each other. The basis that brings more than one models of the same category of cars together can be various. But while choosing a model from its row of competitors, one must either choose this platform or an overall approach, which in most cases become subjective.
So here, we are comparing two SUV models from leading manufacturers, based on engine and performance. On one side there will be the 2021 model edition of Genesis GV80 while the other side the 2021 Land Rover Velar will contest the former. Engine Options
For the 2021 Genesis GV80 models, the line-up counts a 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbo at the base that comes with 226kW of power, while at the next step there will be a 3.5-litre turbocharged V6 engine that again bifurcates with its capacities of 283kW and 529Nm. The D240 will offer 177kW/500Nm. Opting the petrol models with 2.0-litre P250 engines will spin up the power output to 184kW/365Nm, while the P300 models will be able to crank 221kW/400Nm. The D275 running on the 3.0-litre diesel V6 range, will dish out 202kW/625Nm while the D300 gives you 221kW/700Nm. With the 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol the P340 trims will send to the wheels a 250kW/450Nm and the P380 280kW/450Nm.
All this is made possible with the installation of an extra turbo power and electro-hydraulic valvetrain.
There would not be any option for a manual transmission, so all the models will get an eight-speed automatic transmission from the ZF that works extremely well with any given engine capacity.
There is then a 2.0-litre four-cylinder ‘Ingenium’ engine thatcan be combined bot with the petrol or diesel fuel tanks with single or twin turbo capacities. What comes as a surprise gift is that every Range Rover allows you to drive with all four-wheels as the standard configuration across the entire line-up range.
