In Kemerovo, Good Line, together with the Kemerovo Regional Medical Information and Analytical Center and the Regional Clinical Oncological Dispensary, launched a project to prevent cancer in the region’s residents. In the Appointment Mobile App, you can take tests that determine your risk of developing the five most common cancers.
The Appointment to a Doctor mobile application was created as part of the Good Line Digital City project in 2018. All state clinics of the Kemerovo region are available in it, as well as a number of private ones. These are more than 250 hospitals throughout the region. The schedule of doctors’ appointments is always up-to-date, since it is edited by the representatives of medical institutions themselves.
The application can be used by the whole family, the number of patients is not limited. You need to save the data and the OMS policy number once in order to make an appointment with a specialist in a couple of minutes. The app will send a reminder one day and two hours before the appointment.
The Appointment App is already popular in the region. That is why an important social project was implemented on its basis – tests to identify risk factors for five types of cancer. Free survey is available in the “Doctors” tab.
– You can answer simple questions about five tumor locations: breast, skin, lungs, intestines, prostate. These are the most common types of cancer, and we also encounter them in the Kemerovo region, – said Andrey Ivanov , director of GAUZ “KOMIATS”. – The result of the application will one way or another be the detection of oncology in the early stages. So we can, if necessary, carry out effective treatment on time.
Each user can transfer the test results to the Regional Clinical Oncological Dispensary, leaving their contact details. The doctors will analyze the answers and, if necessary, invite the patient for a routine examination.
– Any diagnosis is the result of face-to-face communication between a doctor and a patient. Therefore, I want to warn you: you cannot use the cancer app as a diagnostic tool. In order to identify the presence of neoplasms at an early stage, an on-site visit to doctors is required. Therefore, if with the help of the test you have identified the risk of oncology, do not panic. It is better to make an appointment with a specialist, especially since the application offers such an opportunity. All medical institutions in the region have access to it, they themselves edit the schedule of admission to patients – it is always up-to-date, – said the director of the Kemerovo Regional Medical Information and Analytical Center.
The launch of testing is associated with one of the priority areas in modern medicine – the timely detection and diagnosis of oncological diseases. So far, the project has been launched only for Kemerovo, but in the future it is planned to open it for the entire Kuzbass. Already 305 residents of Kemerovo have passed a total of 731 tests. 200 patients sent information about themselves to the oncological dispensary. And this is just the beginning.
– In one of the oncological dispensaries I saw a wonderful poster: “Cancer is afraid of the brave.” The days when oncology was a verdict are irrevocably gone. Today, after such diseases, people live an active and full life, realize themselves in professional activities and win sports competitions. Application “Appointment to a doctor. Kuzbass ”helps patients undergo a preventive examination by a doctor on time. And pay attention to the risk factors that now seem insignificant. But there are no trifles in health, – says Andrei Ivanov.
He noted that the project will develop further. In the future, testing will appear not only in the mobile application, but also on the websites of the Department of Health Protection and Medical Institutions of Kuzbass.
