Four Suggestions for Federating Your Teams of Newspaper printing

Printing your corporate newspaper is more doable than you think. Newspaper printing  can be fun, and you can turn anything you want into newsprint fast and easy. Below are four suggestions on how to go about printing your corporate newspaper.

  • Plan and create your content

The first step is to have a publication schedule and deadline within which you want to distribute your print. Your plan should entail the exact date within which each person should submit their content to the editor for proofreading, a design schedule, and a printing deadline. A detailed content plan should follow the publication schedule. A content plan includes the table of content for all pages, even the covers.

For each story in the table of contents, have a detailed plan as well. The plan should include the challenge your story will address and the type of story that will best address it. Types of articles to consider include features, news stories, interviews, and infographics. Infographics, for example, would work better when you want to pass on complex information to the readers.

The Acer TimelineX 1830T is our top pick among subnotebooks. It doesn’t compromise power or battery life and it has a good set of ports that outnumber the competition. We’re impressed with the specs on the 1830T, and they beat out the competition in features vs. price. It significantly outperforms Acer’s own Ferrari One, has a faster CPU and more features than Lenovo’s IdeaPad U160, a faster CPU and more ports than the MacBook Air (though it lacks the Air’s dedicated graphics), and more horsepower and longer battery life than the Lenovo IdeaPad U260. Bluetooth 3.0 is standard

To make the content even more appealing, dissect it into sidebars, tables, illustrations, and infographics, to avoid long texts that put readers off. Ensure each story has the following features: a catchy headline, an intro that captures the reader’s attention, and a readable body broken into subheads and containing pull quotes.  Use images and picture captions as well. Do not forget to include a call to action to make your readers take the intended steps do after reading a particular piece.

When you have your content ready, it is time for step two.

  • Design your paper

There are different sizes of newspapers to consider.  You can choose the big broadsheet newspaper, a smaller tabloid newspaper, or a mini-newspaper. The broadsheet newspaper is becoming more unpopular as the tabloid-size gains popularity. Open the desired size in your preferred layout program and begin to lay a grid on the blank design or use a newspaper template. One proven design hack is leaving lots of white space.

White spaces separate and draw attention to specific elements. Secondly, use a readable and consistent font that is pleasing to the eye like serif or sanserif. The text in the body can have a font of between 11 and 12. When you are using pictures and other rich media, design them around the articles. The article is the most critical element so have it in place first and then figure out how to fit in the rest.

  • Print your newspaper

Once you have designed your newspaper, do some final proofreading to eliminate mistakes before getting to the final copy. Check that the pagination, department names, and names of authors are correct. After, upload the PDF and place an order for printing.

  • Distribute your print

After printing, you can finally relax and wait for the printers to deliver your newspaper. When you get your copy will depend on your date of order and location. You can then plan on how you will distribute the papers.
