Make Use Of The Right Box And It Should Be Fresh
Whenever you pack the products, make sure you use the fresh box because reused boxes usually lose strength. These boxes lose strength, especially at the corners when they get wet by rain or snow. Therefore, it is crucial to use a fresh box for your product. Moreover, it is also important that you try to use the right-sized box so that you do not have to make any adjustments in the leftover space. Also, it is always advisable to purchase shipping boxes instead of obtaining boxes from other places. They are not durable and reliable.
Leave Space Around The Shipping Product
Ideally, the Packers should aim at leaving at least 2 inches of space around the product being shipped on all sides. The leftover space should be filled with packing materials like packing peanuts or air pillows on all sides of the box. Moreover, to protect fragile items, you can do double boxing and use 2-3 inches of bubble wrap around the product. You can follow this, especially, if you are going to pack several items together in the same box. Make sure not to stack heavier items on top of lightweight or fragile products when shipping more than one product in the same box.
Be Sure To Use The Right Packaging Tape
For packaging the product properly, use three-inch wide shipping tape which is ideally optimal. It is applied in an “H” pattern on the top and bottom covering all open seams. Lots of people use masking tape, duct tape, Scotch tape or even string. But, these tapes won’t do the job well as they cannot hold the product well enough. So, for the safety reasons, make sure to use the ideal packaging tape for the purpose.
Repackage The Electronic Items & Breakables
When you are packaging electronics, make sure to repackage them to be sure not to get any damages on them until they reach the destination. The packages that are available at the retail stores for packaging electronics are very thin and no reliable at all to ship your product. Therefore, you need to be aware of these packaging materials and boxes that are available in the market. Likewise, the same care should be taken while packaging breakable products/items. They are also equally sensitive when they are being shipped.
Extra Care For The Perishables
Perishable items like chocolates, fruits and others should be shipped in polystyrene which should be made cooler with dry ice inside a standard-size corrugated box. Moreover, it is crucial that the packers should mark the outside of the box as “Dry Ice” with the weight of the ice and the type of contents. It makes easier to identify the shipping item and accordingly the care will be taken while shipping it.
