They then purchased a Virginia Lottery Pick 4 game ticket, which actually won them $50,000 only a couple weeks later. And then the next day they bought a scratch-off ticket that won them another $1 million. What’s even crazier is that they actually bought a Virginia Lottery Cash 5 ticket in 2017 and won yet again, hitting another $100,000.
Joan Ginther
Ginther has managed to win the lottery four times, all four times in Texas, and each of them work several million dollars. In fact, her very first win was for $5.4 million in 1993. Then, in 2003 she won $2 million. And two years later, in 2005, she won $3 million. Her latest jackpot was in 2008, where she won a total of $10 million. All told, this means she’s won over $20 million dollars in jackpots within the state of Texas.
Orlene Peterson
Orlene decided to buy a few tickets from a local store and then chose to purchase a more expensive ticket while she was there. The ticket actually was a massive winner, with a prize of $200,000. But that wasn’t it for her. The next day she decided to buy a few more tickets. That prize was even bigger. In a completely different town she got a ticket that was worth $300,000. All told, she ended up with approximately half a million dollars because she decided to splurge on a couple of scratch-off tickets.
