Or you can give up curtains entirely and choose something radical like bamboo blinds. They are much easier to control to let in just the right amount of light.

Design an Outdoor Area

When the summer season arrives, having an outdoor dining or a picnic area can be very useful. You don’t have to hire interior designers to create a charming outdoor area. If you have spare tables and chairs in the house, you can easily do it yourself. If you are willing to spend money, you can buy chic outdoor lounging couches and swinging chairs to create a real haven right in your backyard.

Buy Round Beds

Make your bedroom look like a palace bedroom but giving up the square beds and buying round ones. You will need a spacious bedroom for this of course. It can definitely give an elegant and quirky aura to any bedroom in the house. You may be able to find round beds for a discount at old vintage stores. You can also buy new round beds, but you may have to spend some time shopping.

Convert the Space below Staircases to Bookshelves

Have a mini library at home by converting the space below the staircases into shelves that can hold books and little ornaments. This can be a cute, at-home DIY project, if you are good with tools. Otherwise, it won’t cost much to have a carpenter over to do the job. Add a desk and a lamp nearby, or attached to the shelves, for a library in your living room.
