I don’t know about you, but I have tried everything to keep fit. Any and every fad and fashion that has popped up on the market in the last couple of years has been a part of my training regime. Do you want to know something? Hardly any of them made a dent. Well, now it is time to throw all the conventional methods out of the window and go for the weird and the wacky. Who’s with me? Are you? Good! Here, then, are a few unusual ways that we can benefit from, hopefully!

Get On The Trampoline

I like this one because it is a fun workout. That is where most workouts fail in my eyes because I hate going to the gym or going for a run. It is so boring and monotonous that it is hard to get excited about. But, the trampoline also has good physical benefits. Once you are in the air, there is a lack of resistance. Getting there, however, is hard work and requires a lot of strength, especially in the leg muscles.

Go Dancing

Talking about fun ways to stay fit, this has to be one of the most fun. By the way, I am not talking about the dancing on a Saturday night at four o’clock in the morning. I am talking about legitimate dancing, like the Tango or the Salsa. Full on dances and dance moves work all the body and work your cardiovascular system too. A half an hour dance is just as good for you as thirty minutes on the treadmill!

Inversion Training

If you don’t know what inversion training is, it is hanging from a bar upside down! All you need are a pair of gravity boots and a few activities to perform when you are in position. Because of the added resistance, situps and crunches have far more of an effect. Or, you can simply hang and let gravity do its thing. Your body weight works against the gravity and naturally elongates your spine, alleviating chronic back pain. If you want to take your program to the next level, take a look at an Ironman inversion table comparison. Comparisons will find the best, and most rigorous inversion training regimes around.

Try Pole Dancing

So, pole dancing may not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think about exercise. And, it might not be the most empowering, either. But, in its most basic form, it is a great method of exercise. You have to admit, exotic dancers are always in good shape! There is a lot of swinging and a lot of moving around, and that burns a lot of calories. Seriously, there is probably a class near you that you don’t even know about. Remember; stripping and pole dancing is two completely different things, so don’t let that put you off.

When the tried and tested doesn’t work, there is nothing wrong with the unconventional. Just because they are not as popular doesn’t mean they don’t work as well.
