Three Things Every Guy Should Know

At least three major things every guy should know and be careful about. Seriously, bro! you need to pick up those week-old undies, find where that leaning pile of pizza-stained dishes starts, and take out February’s trash…it is spring now. If you want anyone to take you seriously, friends, females, stray dogs…you must tidy up a bit around the place.

It’s Time to Clean the Place

To start, go to the super market, not just a mini-mart, but a large establishment.  Buy yourself a pair of gloves, a bucket, a scrubber, catchall cleaners, a mop, and cleaning rags.  Don’t forget the trash bags.  Go home and get to work.  There are no excuses.  Watch DIY videos on the web if you’d like for inspiration; but, now is the time.

Understand this is not a one-time event.  You don’t clean and then wait for Haley’s Comet to pass through again.  It’s a lifestyle.  It’s okay if the counters express their original color.  It’s supposed to be that way.

It’s Time to Get in Shape

When you were young riding bikes, playing kickball, and chasing the bus you missed  diy(do-it-yourself)jobsschool, it was easy to stay in shape.  Now, you sit on the couch, sit on your buddy’s couch, and take a nap in your bed while dreaming about sitting on your couch. Things have changed.

When was the last time you did something with your muscles other than flex them to take your attention away from your beer gut in the mirror?  You don’t have to go to a gym necessarily; but, you do have to do…something.  Start by taking walks, and then gradually to light jogs.  Start doing 100 push-ups each day and see how well you can improve each week.

It doesn’t take a whole lot of effort to get fit.  It may take some serious trying to cut out the happy hours and extra-large pies though.  It will be a benefit to you in the future to start getting and staying in shape now.

It’s Time to Start Cooking

If you took the number of times you ordered out and combined them with the number of The Office reruns you’ve seen, and turned that number into pennies, you could probably provide cooking utensils for your entire neighborhood.  Let’s just start with you.  Get yourself a good set of utensils, some fresh foods, and start experimenting.  Hey, what about green olive recipes!

There’s tons of information on the web.  Start with something small, like green olive recipes and explore the call of your tummy and perhaps some visitors.  Who knows how popular you’ll become by satiating the appetites of others?
