Budget Friendly Winter Favorites

One of the biggest problems that concern a lot of us is that, as seasons change, we need to spend a lot of money on brand-new clothes. This happens for two reasons. Firstly, some items simply go out of fashion and we need to replace them with more fashionable ones. Secondly, we are not usually able to combine our summer clothes with the winter clothes. However, here are some creative ideas and inexpensive ways for you to update your wardrobe.

Winterize your summer clothes

First things first, you need to learn how to layer your clothes. If you think about it, it’s a very basic advice, but many girls just won’t go down that road, or if they do, they just don’t do it right. There really isn’t much science about it, you just have to think about the materials and patterns of the things that you are layering and put a bit of creativity in it. Layers can look very stylish but also feel very cozy- just make sure not to go overboard and end up walking like a penguin down the street. Floral summer dresses can bring a perfect pop of color to your outfit, and combining them with a cozy sweater, a pair of leggings and some cute booties will make a beautiful combo to brighten up a lazy and dull winter day.

Soft and cozy

When it comes to shopping, the first thing that comes to my mind is that my clothes need to be practical and versatile, so that I can use them during the year. One of those all-year-round pieces, which can be found in numerous colors and patterns, is the cardigan. Honestly, I consider cardigans as very useful accessories. If you were to wear the same outfit for a few days and just change the cardigan you put over it, your outfit would look completely different. Another cozy thing I love is a good oversized chunky sweater. You would think that those are reserved just for wearing at home or while hanging out with your friend, but they have actually become very fashionable and can easily be combined with blouses, shirts, etc. If I’m honest, an ideal winter outfit would consist of a pair of leggings, a chevron blouse, a chunky monochromatic sweater and some cute booties to go with that. A good pair of leggings is a winter must have, but if you want a more professional look, opt for a pair of jeans with a silk blouse and a blazer.

Accessories above all

Without accessories, even the most expensive outfit would look plain and uncreative. Since I really love vivacity, I usually combine details that are in a slight contrast. I would suggest buying an interesting handbag, beret, gloves or a scarf, which will emphasize the beauty of your combination. Another thing you can also do is focus the attention on a statement piece of jewelry. A gorgeous chunky necklace will be a perfect upgrade for a casual outfit.
Some of this advice may sound pretty basic, but I believe that every girl can incorporate it and make her outfit unique just by adding a touch of her own style, a pretty unique pattern of a nice piece of jewelry.
