Get the Summer Body You Want By Setting These 4 Goals

The first step to get the summer body you want is to set a limited amount of goals. People tend to complicate things when planning a diet or new exercise routine. Simplify your ambitions a little: eat properly and lose weight. When all things are considered, what you eat will determine your level of energy, health and brain function. Here are a few goals to set for an active summer of self-improvement.

1) Watch Daily Calorie Count

Engorging the body on too much food results in discomfort, lethargy and poor circulation of the blood to the brain and veins in your body. As part of your goals, set your daily food intake so you consume no more than 1200 calories. This is the number of calories recommended by the US Food and Drug Administration and several health organizations. Budget the 1200 calories so you can have five smaller meals or three full meals each day. Diabetics and hypoglycemics should opt for five smaller meals to ensure their blood sugar is balanced.

2) Choose Foods High in Vitamins and Minerals

It may be surprising that foods high in vitamins and minerals can provide the feeling of fullness and maintain the daily caloric intake goals. Choose foods high in fiber that provide lots of energy. For example, breakfast on the run can consist of non-fat yogurt with almonds or wheat germ. A soft-boiled egg has only 78 calories. You can have whole wheat toast with low calorie butter spread and still have plenty of calories left for the rest of the day. There’s nothing like a mid-morning banana or apple as a pick-me-up. Choose lunch menus like one cup of tuna salad which can include mayo, chopped onion and celery for a total of 400 calories. This leaves plenty of calories for a healthy dinner.

3) Drink Plenty of Water

To get the summer body you want, be sure to drink plenty of water to keep your internal organs and tissues well hydrated. Consume at least six to eight glasses of water each day to flush out impurities. You may feel less hungry and notice a drop in your weight. Also, with proper hydration, you can help eliminate varicose veins.

4) Make Exercise Relaxing Instead of Drudgery

Exercise needn’t be a terrible experience. Become involved in group sports or plan an after dinner walk. Regular low-cardio walking helps eliminate health concerns like varicose veins. Strong veins are important for your health and your heart. Experts at Ivein vein center warn that weak valves within the vein will cause the blood to flow backward, instead of upward to your heart, and pool inside the veins. Set small goals for yourself each day and then build up from there as you crush each one.

A great summer body doesn’t have to take a lot of work. Sometimes all it requires is common sense practices that you can use all year round. Nobody knows your body better than you. Understand your limits and discover what you are capable of. Remember that the victory lies within how you feel as you conquer each goal!
